Save water with the Hippo Water Saver for FREE
We all use the toilet and when we do we flush up to 9 litres of water down the toilet. Obviously we need to do this but we don’t need to use as much water as we currently do. See how you can reduce this amount by up to 3 litres with the Hippo Water Saver.
I’m not going to do into your toilet habits but even if you only use the toilet 3 times a day that’s over 3,000 litres of water that you’re flushing down the drains every year and if you’re paying for your water by meter then this would definiately help save money.
To put it simply the The Hippo Water Saver is a bag that you place in your toilet cisten - each time you flush the toilet then the bag remains full of water and therefore saves that from being discarded.
If your toilet was installed after 2001 then unfortunately this isn’t the product for you as you’ll only be flushing away 6 litres a time (which, yes, is still a lot), but if you have an old toilet, before 1991, then this could be flushing away 9 litres each time and a toilet manufactured between 1992 and 2001 will be around 7.5 litres.
You can buy a 3 pack of these water savers direct on their website for £7.82 including vat and delivery but you can get either the Hippo Water Saver or a similar one from the following local water authorities, for free! You can also pick them up on eBay for a couple of quid.
